The story of the ISA collection
In the middle of an already delayed production of our ISA BAG, we received a call from our manufacturer, who put us on overtime. All of our material – the recycled polyester that we had purchased specifically for the bags – had been sewn with the wrong pattern. Our immediate reaction was panic. Not only was the production delayed, but now the bags also looked significantly different than we and Isabel – with whom we had designed the bag – had planned. Should we throw away all the material? That was simply not an option. We wanted to stand by our values and avoid waste, but also ensure that Isabel could be proud of her design.
So what could we do?
This is where the idea for ISA Sleeves came from. Isabel Rigenstrup, who the bag and collection are named after and designed in collaboration with, is not just an inspiring mother – she also studies psychology at SDU. This led us to think creatively and utilize the material to create a completely different product that still made sense: ISA Computersleeves and ISA Mini Sleeves . In this way, we not only gave the material new life AGAIN, but also launched two new products that fit perfectly with ISA BAG . Suddenly we had a collection that also focused on the fact that life as a mother is more than just a baby - it is also the importance of taking care of your own interests, which you had before the title of mother came about. Something we know means a lot to Isabel! We are proud of how we turned a challenge into an opportunity, and ISA Sleeves are now part of our range. They are both practical, water-repellent and stylish, and remind us that even the biggest challenges can become something unique and valuable.
