The Simba Prize opened its doors again this year for an evening filled with gala, glam and glitter. And we love it!! ✨ But with gala, glam and glitter often comes clothing crises, frustrating hours in front of the mirror and expensive dress purchases, all for something that is often only for a single evening – we are not so keen on that. That is why TEAM IGEN had a mission this year: We wanted to create a gold runner for the Simba Prize with beautiful looks that were not only to be worn once, but could be loved over and over again! That is why we contacted Sara from House of Share, who makes a living by giving dresses new life over and over again. A month before the big evening, we invited all the guests to a fitting session, where Sara had brought her most beautiful dresses, ready to be lent to the Simba Prize! That way, guests could avoid expensive one-off purchases and instead wear dresses that had already been worn before. To make the evening even more special, we from IGEN had arranged for guests to have a Micro Shopper specially designed to match their dress choice. We had Andreas from Copenhagen Design School come by and sit all evening with needle, thread, sequins and fabric scraps from the school, which he carefully sewed onto the shoppers.
